There are currently 7 banknotes values in euro money.
Example: 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500.
The removal of the 500 euros bank note is discussed.
There are currently 8 euro coin values (for circulation)
Example: 1 cent, 2 cents, 5 cents, 10 cents, 20 cents, 50 cents, 1 euro and 2 euros
It is discussed the removal of 1 and 2 cents coins.
There are collector coins of 1/4 euro, 1/2 euro, 5 euros silver / gold, 10 euros silver, 15 euros silver, 10 euros gold, 25 euros silver, 50 euros silver / gold, 100 euros silver / gold , 200 euros gold, 250 euros gold, 500 euros gold, 1000 euros gold and even 5000 euros gold
There is no 1000 euros bank note.
There are, however, 1000 dollar bills.
The first euro banknotes have a bar code. Visible by transparency, it is next to the filigran/watermark in large and wide strips. The number and width of the bars identify the value of the note (with a unique Manchester code)
