New Alphabet is an alternative alphabet created to adapt to the technical limitations of CRT screens that had difficulty representing curved or diagonal shapes. The letters and numbers are therefore composed only of straight, vertical and horizontal lines.
A message written in New Alphabet contains only straight vertical or horizontal lines and right angles. The characters are all composed of a single piece except exceptionally, a point or a horizontal bar can be displayed in addition above or above the character.
New Alphabet was designed by Dutch graphic designer Wim Crouwel in 1967
dCode retains ownership of the "New Alphabet by Crouwel" source code. Except explicit open source licence (indicated Creative Commons / free), the "New Alphabet by Crouwel" algorithm, the applet or snippet (converter, solver, encryption / decryption, encoding / decoding, ciphering / deciphering, breaker, translator), or the "New Alphabet by Crouwel" functions (calculate, convert, solve, decrypt / encrypt, decipher / cipher, decode / encode, translate) written in any informatic language (Python, Java, PHP, C#, Javascript, Matlab, etc.) and all data download, script, or API access for "New Alphabet by Crouwel" are not public, same for offline use on PC, mobile, tablet, iPhone or Android app!
