Wordington is a mobile word game in which the user must form words from a set of scrambled letters. The words found complete a crossword-style grid.
Solving a level involves identifying all possible letter combinations that form valid words (partial or complete anagrams), then selecting those that fit the available spaces in the grid.
dCode can generate an exhaustive list of words from the given letters. This list is often larger than the solutions accepted by the game.
To quickly obtain solutions, the user can enter the available letters into the dCode solver.
Example: GSINED pour former DESIGN, SIGNED or DINE.
This method avoids the use of hints built into the game. However, cheating alters the dynamics of the puzzle-solving process and can reduce the enjoyment derived from independently searching for solutions.
An effective strategy is to explore letter combinations in a structured rather than random way.
The user can start by identifying common suffixes and prefixes, then test combinations of increasing length.
Wordington uses a limited dictionary to validate words. This dictionary does not necessarily contain every word that exists in the language.
Therefore, a word may be correct but rejected by the game if it is not included in its database.
